2nd Shift Building Maintenance Worker

The Cooperstown Central School District seeks a 2nd shift building maintenance worker/cleaner to work full-time. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Building Maintenance Worker to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our school facilities.
Key responsibilities include performing routine inspections and repairs of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building equipment. The candidate will be responsible for cleaning common areas, classrooms, and restrooms, as well as assisting in the setup and teardown of school events. They should be able to handle minor repairs, such as painting, carpentry, and replacing light fixtures. Strong communication skills are necessary to coordinate with staff and report maintenance needs. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of building systems, safety regulations, and be able to work independently. Previous experience in facility maintenance is preferred. This is a full-time position requiring occasional evening or weekend hours. 12-month, offering $22.12 per hour plus benefits, per the Service Unit Contract.
